Another intriguing thing in Michigan is the amount of axels/wheels on their trucks... Yorkieman's research into the affectionally nicknamed "Michigan Trains":"Michigan allows trucks up to 164,000 lbs on its roads if the truck uses 11 axles, vs the typical 80,000 lbs on 5 axles. Since road damage is directly proportional to the fourth power of axle loading, having one of these 11 axle trucks actually does less damage to the road per pound of cargo than the corresponding 2 lighter trucks would be. Aside from the reduction in pavement damage, it also reduces shipping costs".... And that's the way it is folks...have to say there are hundreds of them !!! |

Will be a short break in transmission !! No wifi at campsite and our dongle/jetpac has very weak intermittent signal !!! We are in the Boon Docks !!! But great scenery and luckily not near the floods in Wisconsin...but we did have very heavy rain yesterday...temperatures today only reached 55 !!
